McClellanville to Wrightsville Beach N.C. 137 Miles

We avoided the Myrtle Beach stretch of the ICW by going out then coming back in at the Cape Fear River.

Departing McClellanville at sunrise - breakfast underway.

Entering the Cape Fear River from seaward against an ebb tide with 20+ knots of wind behind us... short rough chop and minus 4 knots boat speed against the tide and river current.

Crossing the river towards the cut through to the ICW at Carolina Beach, scudding foam visible though not as choppy.

The banks along the cut and the scenery is looking a lot like North Carolina.

Wrightsville Beach dead ahead!

Alexandra parked in front of Peter's office.

Bluewater Yacht Sales, Wrightsville Beach Branch.

From here it is about an hour, 14.5 nm, to Home Port at Hickory Point. We plan to arrive at high tide on Saturday the 11th of April, 2009.
